Six reasons to invest in the argentinean fixed income market

Broad Alternatives / High Interest Rates / High Liquidity / FAST EXIT / Stable AR$-U$S Exchange Rate / Tax Exempted...

1- Broad short term investment alternatives (under one year). There are many different corporate offerings especially in the case of asset backed securities with AA and AAA risk ratings. There are both peso- and USD-denominated options.

2- High interest rates. Annual interest rates for AR peso-denominated corporate securities with maturities under one year range between 13 and 15.5 per cent and for USD-denominated offerings, between 8 and 11 per cent.

3- High liquidity and FAST EXIT. Upon an unexpected need for funds or a worsening of local financial conditions, the capital market allows you to redeem your investments and be fully liquid and positioned abroad (NY) within 72 hours.

4- Stable AR$/USD foreign exchange rate. The Central Bank intervention maintains the exchange rate stable, since it provides a floor to keep exports competitive and needs to establish a ceiling to prevent inflation from accelerating.

5- Broad national government fiscal surplus in the short term.

6- Tax exemption. For individuals, whether residing in Argentina or abroad, both capital gains and interest earned on investments in the Argentine capital market and banking system are tax free.
